On site testing.

When we visit site to conduct testing, we insist it is done correctly.

Unless requested otherwise a standard visit will consist of the following:

1.      The delivery ticket will be asked for, so the stated workability and mix details are known.
2.      Visual inspection of the first part of discharge to assess suitability to test.
3.      If suitable, a composite sample, not a spot, sample will be taken.
4.      In extremes of weather the concrete sample will be temperature tested and recorded.
5.      If required air contest tests can be carried out on air entrained concrete I.e PAV1 PAV2 RHS or other grades requested with air entrainment. – we require notice that an air test is required due to the size and fragility of the equipment it is not permanently kept in the technician’s vans.
6.      A slump test (or flow in the case of SCC) will be conducted and the result recorded.
7.      100mm cube samples will be prepared on site to the current British standard, the quantity required will be discussed with the client.
8.       A sampling sheet with all relevant information will be completed before leaving site.

We offer an out of hours service, holiday cover, single visit, or regular contract testing.

We can even offer a pour management package where all concrete deliveries are recorded, water additions monitored, loads slump tested with any out of specification concrete being quarantined until corrective action is agreed and the pre-agreed cube sampling rates.

Our technicians are fully trained, have all the correct equipment and PPE.
