In-situ Plate bearing & CBR Test (California bearing ratio) :
For assessing or verifying the ground bearing capacity, CBR value for design of foundations, haul roads, crane, or pilling mats.
We now use of one of the most advanced Plate load test equipment systems currently available, as an automated data logging system it does not rely on manual calculations and therefore eliminates potential error.
Tests can be customised depending on the requirements of the engineer, loading increment, unloading decrements and cycles can all be dictated.
We have available plate sizes of 300, 455 & 610mm diameter and a 250Kn pressure system so the test can be conducted using the most appropriate size based on information required or the reaction load available on site.
Once the system is in place the technician does not need to return under the reaction load to record measurements as these are collected via Bluetooth directly to the handheld unit, drastically reducing the potential for harm or a site incident.
Fully compliant with BS1377-9 with all transducers and load cells calibrated to traceable UKAS standards
For each test conducted the system records the GPS coordinates avoiding any disputes regarding the test locations. these can then be plotted on a map.
Reports are generated on site and emailed to the lab prior to our departure (subject to a decent 3G signal). This is to esure our “Same day report guarantee”
